Atlas is a date planning service for married couples, run by Agent Atlas LLC at app.weeklydatenight.com. This page explains what Atlas collects, why, who handles it, and what you can do about it.

What is collected

The survey. One of you fills it in for both of you. It asks for both first names and email addresses, your ZIP code and time zone, how far you will drive, when and how often you can go out, what you like to spend, whether an evening out needs a sitter, your usual weekly commitments (such as work hours, and church services or a small group if you tell us), what each of you enjoys and would rather skip, and a few last things such as your goals and the months of your anniversary and birthdays. When you change your answers, the new version is saved next to the old ones, so we can see what changed.

A ZIP code, never a street address. It is used to measure drive times.

Nothing about your children. The survey asks only whether you have kids at home and whether an evening out needs a sitter, how easy one is to find, how many evenings a month one is free, how much notice they need, and whether the sitter comes out of the date budget. There are no names, ages or other details about children anywhere in Atlas.

Months, never dates. For your anniversary and birthdays we ask only for the month, and you can skip all three.

Your spouse’s own answers, if they give them. The person who fills in the survey takes a guess at their spouse’s side. Their spouse can open a private link and answer that side themselves, and their answers replace the guesses. We never email your spouse until you have confirmed your own email address.

What you tell us about each plan. Your replies to our emails (yes, no, a different night, how a date went) are kept so the next plans fit you better. We keep only the new text of each reply, its subject and the address it came from, not the earlier messages quoted under it, and never its attachments or its formatted (HTML) version. Replies are cleared on the schedule under “How long it is kept”.

Payments. After your two free dates, you add a card on Stripe’s own page, never ours: we never see or store your card number. From Stripe we keep your customer and subscription numbers, the price, whether it is active, and the dates it renews or ends.

Sign-in records. Your email address, when you signed in, the internet address and browser you signed in from, and a few account events such as when you joined and when you connected a calendar. There are no passwords: you sign in with a link we email you.

Abuse limits. To stop abuse, the survey, sign-in, spouse-link and unsubscribe pages count requests per connection, keyed by a one-way hash of the address, which we clear out after about two days.

Your calendar (optional)

Connecting a Google Calendar is optional. Without one, we plan around your survey answers and you confirm by email.

If you connect one, Atlas asks Google for one calendar permission, to see and edit events on your calendars, plus your name and email address so we can show which Google account is connected. We use it only to:

  • see when you are busy and when you are free, so we never suggest a date on top of something that matters. For each event we read only its start and end, whether it is cancelled or marked free, its type (such as focus time, out of office or a reservation Gmail added), whether you declined it, whether you organized it, whether anyone besides you and a meeting room is invited, never who, and an event identifier (to recognise the dates we added). If you told us you share calendars, we read your spouse’s calendar the same way when it is shared with the Google account you connected;
  • add an event for each date you confirm, after checking your calendar is still free for that evening, and change or remove only those events if the plan changes. The event has our own title and the date’s details, never guests, and Google sends no invitation or update from your account.

The planner that picks your dates gets only busy times and what kind each one is: a meeting or reservation, a focus block, a solo hold, out of office or an all-day event. We never download event titles, descriptions, locations, or the names and email addresses of anyone invited, so they are never stored and never sent to an AI service. We never change or delete events Atlas did not create. The access Google gives us is stored encrypted, with keys held in Google Cloud Key Management Service. You can disconnect at any time from your account page: we first take the dates we added that are still ahead off your calendar (we email you both the invite instead), then withdraw our access at Google.

Google API Services User Data Policy. Atlas’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, calendar data is used only to plan and place your dates. It is not used for advertising, not sold, not used to train AI models, and not read by people except with your permission, for security, or when the law requires it.

How it is used

To plan your dates, email the plans to both of you, put confirmed dates on your calendar if you connected one, and learn from what you say yes and no to.

AI processing. Atlas uses Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to plan dates from your survey preferences, to research places and events near you, and to read your replies to a plan. We send it only what that task needs, such as your survey answers, your open and busy times, or the text of a reply. It works under Anthropic’s commercial terms, which do not allow Anthropic to train its models on what we send. The AI suggests; it never sends email or changes your calendar on its own.

When Claude plans your month, it gets your survey preferences, your ZIP code and the open times we found, but never your names or email addresses: the two of you are Partner A and Partner B, also where your first names appear in something you typed. Links, email addresses and phone numbers typed into a free-text answer are removed before anything is sent. To find places and events near you, Claude uses Anthropic’s web search and reads public web pages about venues, such as their hours, prices and event listings. Those searches are about places, never about you. When you ask to move a date, Claude looks for another time the same way, for the day and time you asked for.

Learning from your replies. To learn what to plan more and less of, Claude also reads the words in your replies and in your notes after a date (replies to “How was it?”), with your names, links, email addresses and phone numbers removed. It answers only with fixed labels, such as “too far” or “too loud”, and writes nothing we keep. Our own code decides what to remember, as short notes such as “Skip loud or crowded places.” You can see those notes on your account page under “What we have learned” and remove any that are not right; we then stop using them. When we are missing something, such as why a date was a no, a plan email may ask you one short question. Your answer is kept as feedback for your household, like your notes after a date, and is deleted with the rest of your data.

Your replies. When you reply to a plan email, Resend receives the reply for us. Claude then reads the reply’s new text together with the dates and facts of that month’s plan. Before it does, your first names become Partner A and Partner B, and links, email addresses and phone numbers are removed. Claude only says what the reply means; our own code decides what happens, such as confirming a date or sending the other options, and writes back to both of you. We act on a reply only when it comes from one of your two addresses and passes our checks that it was really sent from there. A reply we cannot read with confidence, that asks for something we do not handle, or that we cannot confirm came from one of you goes to a person on our team at hello@weeklydatenight.com, who reads it and writes back. If a reply looks like it came from one of you but we cannot confirm it, nothing about your plan changes, and both of you get a short note saying a person will read it.

The plan emails

  • Each month’s plan is one email to both of you, with both of your addresses on the To line, so either of you can answer it.
  • Each of you has your own unsubscribe link at the bottom. It opens a page that asks you to confirm, and it stops email only to that partner’s address.
  • The account link in each plan email asks which of you is reading, then emails a sign-in link to that partner’s own address. The link itself signs no one in, so a forwarded email does not open your account.
  • Until your spouse has answered their own side of the survey, they also get a separate short email, sent only to them, with their private link to do that.
  • Around each month’s plan we may also email you both: one reminder on day 3 while any date is still waiting for your answer, what we did on day 5, a calendar invite for a confirmed date (to whichever of you does not have it on a connected calendar), another time for a date you asked to move, the forecast the week of a date, and the morning after, “How was it?”.
  • A date on your connected Google calendar is an event we create with our own title and the date’s details, with no guests, and Google sends no invitation from your account. We remove it if the date comes off.
  • Your replies to “How was it?” are kept as notes about that date to plan better next time. Claude reads them only to learn from them (see “Learning from your replies”); if one asks a question, a person on our team answers it.
  • Every email ends with our company name and postal address, as the law requires.

Your information is never sold, rented or traded, and never used for advertising.

Who handles it

  • Supabase stores the database and runs sign-in.
  • Render runs the Atlas website and the background service that plans your dates, and keeps short-lived server logs.
  • Resend sends our email, including sign-in links and the monthly plans, and receives your replies to the plans.
  • Stripe processes payments: it takes your card on its own page, charges the subscription, sends your receipts, and keeps your card and payment records.
  • Anthropic provides Claude and its web search, as described above.
  • Google hosts your calendar if you connect it, holds the encryption keys for the stored calendar access, and hosts the inbox for mail sent to hello@weeklydatenight.com.
  • Cloudflare runs our domain’s DNS and forwards mail sent to hello@weeklydatenight.com.
  • Sentry receives error reports from our servers, which can include account identifiers.
  • The National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) gives us the forecast for your dates. It receives only the map point at the middle of your ZIP code (rough coordinates), never your name, email or address.

Each handles your information only to provide its part of Atlas. Beyond the providers listed here, we share it with no one else unless the law requires it.

Cookies

Atlas sets a cookie to keep you signed in. While you connect a Google Calendar, two more cookies protect that step and expire after ten minutes. There are no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party trackers.

How long it is kept

For as long as your household exists. An unconfirmed sign-up is deleted after 14 days: if you fill in the survey but never confirm your email address, your answers, both addresses and the household are deleted 14 days after you last sent the survey, and we keep one record that a deletion happened, with the number of records removed and none of their content. The sign-in we made for your own address holds nothing else and stays, so you can start again; email hello@weeklydatenight.com and we will remove it too.

Replies are cleared sooner. The text of a reply, what Claude made of it, and the sender’s address when it was not one of you are cleared 90 days after we finish handling the reply. A reply that is never finished, for example because something went wrong, is cleared the same way 120 days after it arrived. We keep the subject and a short record of what the reply did, such as which date it confirmed. Resend also keeps its own copy of each reply for a limited time under its own retention rules.

The notes you send about a date, your replies to our “How was it?” email, and your answers to our questions are kept as feedback for your household so we can plan better dates, and are deleted with the rest of your data. The 90-day rule above applies to the reply emails themselves.

When you delete your data, everything described on this page is deleted at once and completely: your household, both of your sign-ins, every answer, and your calendar connection, with our access withdrawn at Google. We keep one record that a deletion happened, with the number of records removed and none of their content. A subscription ends at once when you delete your data. Stripe keeps its own payment records (your card, charges and receipts, never your answers or plans) as the law requires.

Copies in our providers’ routine records, such as sign-in logs, error reports, email delivery logs and database backups, are not part of that deletion and age out on their own, usually within 90 days.

Your choices

  • Change your answers at any time on your account page.
  • Disconnect your calendar at any time on your account page.
  • Use Delete our data on your account page to remove everything right away. Or email hello@weeklydatenight.com and we will do it for you.
  • Every plan email has an unsubscribe link for each of you at the bottom.
  • To see what we hold about you, email hello@weeklydatenight.com.

United States only

Atlas is offered only in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there.

Children

Atlas is for adults and is not directed to children. It collects nothing about children. If you think a child has signed up, email hello@weeklydatenight.com and the account will be deleted.

Changes

If what we collect or how we use it changes, this page changes the same day, and the date at the top moves with it. If a change affects information we already hold, we tell you by email first.
